smsSend allows you to send SMS messages for free from your PC to any mobile phone without signing up for expensive per use services. The application runs in your system tray after being opened from the programs menu. Simply double click on the mobile phone icon to open the send window. You must know the mobile carrier of the person you are messaging. This is free software, but a donation of $10 is appreciated. Instructions on how to donate are contained within the app.
